Other than Quick Step you can find a variety of Krono, Kaindl and BerrAlloc branded floors all of which are reputable brands manufacturing high quality flooring.

In the Laminate range, counting their own brands Elite and Studio, Floors Direct have approximately 400 products showcasing on their website and more in house. That’s more laminate flooring products than Homebase, Carpetright or B&Q.

The New LVT Collection

In the 80’s the flooring industry saw a craze for vinyl flooring that was priced low and was easy to lay down yourself saving a lot of money and achieving a practically water resistant floor in the kitchen and bathroom.  Even better it could easily be replaced very cheaply.

Since the 21st century, the product in demand has been laminated wood which has transformed our homes today.

But Vinyl is back and it’s not how we used to know it. These new revolutionised floors are known as Luxury Vinyl Tiles or LVT that combine the looks of laminate wood and the properties of vinyl. It has certainly taken inspiration from the way laminate flooring planks are made but instead of wood it uses a durable plastic backing with a thick top layer of highly compressed vinyl that is printed and embossed with all sorts of wood grains and natural stone effects.

Floors Direct has introduced a small but diverse collection of LVT which is slowly picking up demand as an alternative to less durable ceramic tiles or less water resistance wood.

LVT however is not a new product it has been around for a few years being very popular in luxury homes in the past decade but now it’s become noticeablyaffordable to the wider audience.

The Sales Manager at Floors Direct, Sam says “We are very excited to welcome Vinyl flooring back into the market.  It has some impressively realistic designs and I think it will really take off shifting away from the use of wood on our flooring.”
